KUALA LUMPUR: An express bus ferrying Covid-19 patients was involved in an accident at the UPM toll plaza in Serdang.

The bus was en route to the Low Risk Quarantine and Treatment Centre at Maeps in Serdang when the accident occurred at about 3pm on Saturday (Feb 27).

It is learnt that six passengers suffered light injuries and they were brought to Maeps for further treatment but the condition of the bus driver and co-driver is still unknown.

The front part of the express bus was badly damaged, and it is believed that the bus was ferrying patients from the Changkat Jong cluster in Perak, who began their journey at 10am.
