PUTRAJAYA: As the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme gets into full swing, more frontliners have started receiving their vaccine shots.

Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba, Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali and Health Ministry secretary-general Datuk Mohd Shafiq Abdullah received their jabs at the Putrajaya health office here on Thursday (Feb 25).

Also vaccinated during the same session were three healthcare frontliners.

“Hopefully, these efforts will be able to flatten the curve of the Covid-19 transmission in the country, so that we can all return to normalcy.

“I also hope all civil servants will register to get their Covid-19 vaccination using the MySejahtera application immediately.

“Thank you to all frontliners for giving their commitment in handling this pandemic, ” wrote Mohd Zuki in an Instagram post.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah were the first two individuals in Malaysia to receive Covid-19 shots at an event that was televised live.

The first phase of the national immunisation programme will involve over 500,000 healthcare workers and non-medical frontliners.
