KEPALA BATAS: The body of a man who was reported missing three days ago has been found in Sungai Muda here.
A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said the deceased, identified as 40-year-old Md Johari Mat Isa, was found floating 20m from the location where he was believed to have fallen from his boat while fishing.
"His body was found by a search and rescue team at about 8:45pm on Saturday (Feb 20)," he said.
He added that Johari's remains have been handed over to the police for further action.
On Thursday (Feb 18) the deceased went out fishing and never returned home.
His relatives then lodged a police report on Saturday (Feb 20).
A search and rescue mission was initiated after the department received an emergency call.
