PETALING JAYA: An enhanced MCO will be enacted in several housing areas along Jalan Telok Ira, Temerloh, Pahang.
"The Health Ministry has confirmed that there is a drastic increase in cases there, with 72 cases reported from residents there.
"After a risk analysis was conducted and with the advice of the Health Ministry, an EMCO will be enacted at 10 'tamans' there," said Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob in his daily Covid-19 statement on Saturday (Feb 20).
The EMCO will begin on Feb 21, and end on March 6.
The areas under EMCO are as follows: Taman Desa Bangau, Taman Seberang Damai, Taman Kenari, Taman Seberang Temerloh, Taman Jaya 7, Taman Jaya 2, Taman Jaya 3, Taman Jaya 4, Taman Kelisa and Desa Bangau.
Meanwhile, the EMCO in Bandar Raub Perdana, Raub, will end ahead of schedule on Feb 20.
Originally, the EMCO there was scheduled to end on Feb 25.
On MCO enforcement statistics, 430 people were issued compounds, while 31 were remanded.
Eleven undocumented migrants were also arrested, with eight vehicles seized.
For Ops Benteng, 11 illegal immigrants and three skippers were detained while eight vehicles were seized.
