KUALA LUMPUR: Felda Triang 3 in Bera, Pahang, has been placed under an enhanced movement control order from Thursday (Feb 18) until March 3.
Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the Health Ministry confirmed a total of nine Covid-19 positive cases were detected there.
"As of Feb 16, a total of 79 close contacts have been identified in the locality.
"After conducting a risk assessment, the government has agreed to place the locality under an enhanced MCO from Feb 18 until March 3," he said in a statement Wednesday (Feb 17).
The enhanced MCO will involve Perumahan Kelapa Sawit and Taman Lamanda Permai at Felda Triang 3, he added.
"A total of 1,356 residents will be involved.
"The Health Ministry will conduct targeted screenings on all residents to prevent the spread of the virus," he said.
