Chong said that as part of the ruling coalition, MCA had a duty to facilitate and execute national plans.

“Hence, the Crisis Relief Squad of MCA (CRSM) team will dedicate its full support, liaising with MCA’s networks throughout Malaysia, and help the government achieve its 75,000 daily vaccination target so that herd immunity can be achieved as soon as possible, ” he said in a statement on Wednesday (Jan 27).

In an interview with health portal CodeBlue, Khairy had said that the government was targeting to vaccinate 75,000 people a day across 600 sites when the national Covid-19 vaccination programme begins in March

He said the government will initially target 75,000 persons daily, with the next step aiming to reach 150,000 persons daily, depending on the availability of vaccine supplies.
