PETALING JAYA: Thirteen new Covid-19 clusters were recorded on Monday (Jan 25) with eight linked to workplaces, according to the Health Ministry.
In a statement, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that three of the new clusters were linked to community transmissions while the remaining two were detected from high-risk groups.
The Sri Muda cluster involves the Klang district in Selangor, and was detected after targeted screening at a factory in Taman Sri Muda, Shah Alam.
So far, 35 cases in this cluster were detected positive.
The Jalan Waja cluster involves the Klang district in Selangor, and was detected after targeted screening at a factory in Jalan Waja, Bukit Raja Industrial Park, Klang.
Thirty-three cases in this cluster were found positive.
The Sungai Chemubong cluster involves the Gombak district in Selangor, and is linked to a public educational institution. It has 13 Covid-19 cases.
The Jalan Indah cluster involves the Johor Baru district in Johor, and was detected after targeted screening at a company in Jalan Indah, Taman Bukit Indah, Johor Baru.
Eleven cases in this cluster were reported.
The Kampung Muhibbah cluster involves the Kota Tinggi district in Johor, and is linked to a social gathering in Pengerang. It has 19 cases.
The Jalan Firma Tiga cluster has 15 cases. It involves the Johor Baru district in Johor, and was detected after targeted screening at a factory along Jalan Firma 3, Tebrau 4 Industrial Area.
The Industri Apas cluster has 22 cases and it involves the Tawau district in Sabah, and was detected after a factory worker tested positive for Covid-19.
The Jalan Kerinchi cluster has 14 cases and it involves the Lembah Pantai and Titiwangsa districts in Kuala Lumpur.
The cluster was detected after targeted screening for cleaners of several companies along Jalan Kerinchi.
The Bukit Palah cluster involves the Melaka Tengah and Jasin districts in Melaka as well as the Jempol district in Negri Sembilan.
It is linked to patients and medical personnel in Melaka Hospital with 38 cases reported.
The Kampung Pahi cluster has 18 cases and it involves the Kuala Krai district in Kelantan.
It is linked to workers of a cleaning company at Hospital Sultan Ismail Petra.
The Kampung Tualang cluster involves the Kuala Terengganu and Kuala Nerus districts in Terengganu.
It has 32 cases and they were detected following contact tracing of cases who attended a meeting in Kuala Terengganu.
The Taman Bahagia cluster involves the Temerloh district in Pahang, and is linked to flood relief personnel in Temerloh, where the index case was residing.
So far, 19 cases have been detected.
The Kampung Bukit Lada cluster involves the Temerloh district in Pahang, and was detected following a screening of the index case on Jan 11.
Fourteen cases have so far been reported.
