PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded a new high of 4,275 daily cases on Saturday (Jan 23), taking the total number of confirmed cases in the country up to 180,455.
In the same 24-hour span, there were seven fatalities, bringing the death toll in the country to 667.

Also discharged nationwide were 4,313 patients, another record number, which means a total of 137,019 have recovered from Covid-19, a 75.9% recovery rate.
The total number of active cases in the country is now 42,769.

Currently, 260 people are being treated at intensive care units, with 103 of them requiring ventilator support.
The previous highest daily increase was 4,029 cases on Jan 16.
