HK actress Samantha Ko denies striking deal with TVB to ensure 'Television Queen' title

ACTRESS Samantha Ko (pic) has refuted claims that she is renewing her contract with TVB in exchange for getting the Television Queen title during the Hong Kong broadcasting station’s anniversary awards, Sin Chew Daily reported.

She has acted in four dramas aired last year and her chances of getting the crown are high.

Ko is likely to compete with other actresses like Katy Kung and Sisley Choi for the coveted title.

Currently filming a drama in China, her popularity might have prompted TVB to renew her contract earlier than expected and speculation had it that if she chose to renew her contract she might win the TV Queen title.

“There are rumours every year prior to the awards ceremony and I am happy that everyone thinks that I have a chance to win the title, ” she said.

> Wedding bells seemed to be ringing for Hong Kong celebrity love birds Kenneth Ma and Rozanne Tong when the former hinted on settling down, China Press reported.

Both artistes were caught spending a lot of time together and staying over at each other’s homes.

It is also speculated that Tong’s father had bought a 185.8sq m condominium at Ma On Shan in Hong Kong as a wedding gift for her.

Both artistes openly talk fondly of each other in front of the media and had also admitted that Tong’s family had nudged them to get married soon.

They were recently spotted by pressmen running errands and shopping before returning to Ma’s house.
