Selangor sets up task force to tackle fake halal frozen meat issue

PETALING JAYA: The Selangor state government takes a serious view of the issue on imported frozen meat bearing fake halal logos.

State chairman for Islamic religious affairs, consumer affairs and halal industry committee, Zawawi Ahmad Mughni said in a statement on Sunday (Dec 27) that while no arrests had been made in Selangor, there was no guarantee such meat was not sold here.
