Missing dad: News that he has been found is simply not true, says daughter

PETALING JAYA: The family of a man who went missing on Tuesday is still hoping for his safe return and has denied fake messages that he has been found.

UPDATE: ‘Missing dad’ Robert Low has been found

Robert Low's daughter, Sha-Ron, took to Facebook to tell the public that her father still had not come home and news that he had been found was untrue.

“Our dad is still not home yet and the search continues today.

“Some friends contacted me saying on some WhatsApp group, the news (was that) he had been found. This is unfortunately not true, ” she posted on Facebook on Wednesday (Dec 9).

Sha-Ron also clarified that she and her only sister provided their foreign numbers to receive updates on their missing father because they were based in Singapore and Australia, respectively.

The family continues to search for Low and has even enlisted the help of e-hailing and taxi networks.

They have also lodged a police report and informed highway authorities to help with their search.

Low, 78, was last seen around Desa Petaling where his office is located.

He is believed to have lost his way home after leaving work at 4pm to deliver products to a client.

The family last spoke to him around midnight before he became uncontactable as his mobile phone is believed to have run out of power.

Low was driving a silver Nissan Sentra with the registration plate WLD8523. He was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and greyish black pants and is described to be around 168cm and slim built.
