IPOH: No state Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia members have sought an audience with Sultan Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, says Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu.
"Unlike what was reported by several media outlets, we have not met with the Sultan regarding the appointment of a new Mentri Besar," said the Bersatu deputy president who was ousted as Perak mentri besar last Friday, in a statement on Tuesday (Dec 8).
However, earlier today, Bersatu's Titi Serong assemblyman Hasnul Zulkarnain Abd Munaim was seen at the palace around noon.
This was confirmed by Dewan Negara Perak (the advisory council to the Ruler) Datuk Seri Mohamad Annuar Zaini.
"He did seek an audience with Sultan Nazrin.
"However, we are not sure in what capacity he came," he told the media at Istana Kinta.
Hasnul, who was Amanah Youth chief, left the party to become an Independent following the collapse of the Pakatan Harapan-led state government earlier this year. He joined Bersatu in July.
