No mining of non-radioactive rare earth elements until SOPs are followed, says Natural Resources Minister

PETALING JAYA: There will be no operational mining scheme (OMS) approvals for non-radioactive rare earth elements (NR-REE) until standard operating procedures (SOPs) and rules are followed, says the Energy and Natural Resources Ministry.

Its minister Datuk Dr Shamsul Anuar Nasarah said his ministry is the agency responsible for ensuring mining activities and management of natural resources were conducted sustainably.
