MELAKA: The annual Deepavali carnival at Little India here has been cancelled in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Secretary to Melaka Chief Minister (public affairs) Datuk M.S. Mahadevan said the decision to cancel the event was reached after a meeting was held with traders from Jalan Bendahara on Monday night.
