PETALING JAYA: A viral letter claiming that Umno has pledged the unwavering support of its 32 MPs for Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s candidacy as prime minister has been dismissed as a fake.
A statement by Umno on Saturday (Oct 17) said the party strongly denied the content of the letter said to be addressed to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong in support of Anwar’s bid to become prime minister.
