Plastic bag to cost RM1 in Penang

GEORGE TOWN: If you try to get a plastic bag from the cashier while shopping starting from Jan 1 in Penang, the state will make you pay RM1 for it.

And you will only be able to get a plastic bag between Thursdays and Sundays.
