Programme to help small traders launched

THE Malaysian Associated Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Malaysian Indian Transformation Unit will work together to introduce the Rakan Mikro entrepreneurship programme in Sungai Siput, Makkal Osai reported.

MIC president Tan Sri S. Vigneswaran said the programme intended to encourage small traders and entrepreneurs in the area.

“Some RM300,000 will be made available under the programme. The funds will be used to provide loans for traders who may be facing difficulties in obtaining bank loans.

“Similar programmes should be expanded to help traders nationwide, ” he said during the launch.
