Expert: Over 10 million face masks binned daily

PETALING JAYA: Ten million single use face masks are being used and discarded daily in Malaysia and that’s just a conservative estimate, says a waste expert.

Environment and waste management specialist Dr Theng Lee Chong said the number could possibly even reach 15 million a day with the reopening of schools and the mandatory face mask rule in public places.
