PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong wishes Singaporeans a happy and safe National Day, highlighting the strong bilateral ties which have fostered various economic developments.
"Wishing Singapore an auspicious 55 years of nationhood, with progress and prosperity into perpetuity," he said in a Facebook post on Sunday (Aug 9).
"Our mutual development rests on our strong bilateral relations that continue to grow even through global setbacks like Covid-19 and a weak global economy. Together we can weather any challenges and obstacles," he added.
Dr Wee said he was pleased that the two countries were able to reach an agreement on the Rapid Transit System Link between Malaysia and Singapore on July 30 even during trying times.
"It shows we can do much if we work together with shared focus," he said.
