PUTRAJAYA: Tuition centres, private education institutions, as well as tahfiz schools will be allowed to resume classes soon, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
The Senior Minister said the reopening of tahfiz schools will be together with the resumption schools and other classes to be announced by the Education Ministry.
“As for tuition centres, special education schools and private education institutions, the dates and standard operating procedures (SOPs) will also be made known by the Education Ministry soon, ” he said on Friday (June 26).
On the reopening of tahfiz schools and madrasas, Ismail Sabri said only those registered can begin classes, and those with hostel services must follow the SOPs that have been outlined by the Ministry.
“For such schools that are not registered, we will allow them to operate if they register with the state religious authorities. I do hope these schools will act responsibly and register, ” he said.
