State govt in shock as Fed Govt pulls funding for Penang Hill cable car project

GEORGE TOWN: The state government is in shock, as they have been informed that the Federal Government has pulled the plug on the RM100mil Penang Hill cable car project, says Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow (pic).

"We are disappointed with the decision by the Federal Government. The cancellation of the RM100mil project will not only affect the continuity of the Penang Hill development plan, but also Penang's economy in general, ” he said.
