Sandakan's Four Points by Sheraton closes down for good

The hotel bids farewell by lighting up a ‘thx all’ (thanks all) message using its room light arrangements.

KOTA KINABALU: Sandakan’s only five-star hotel, the Four Points by Sheraton, has permanently closed after more than seven years of operations.

The hotel sent out "thank you" messages via room light arrangements on its last day on May 31.

Netizens shared their memories of staying at the hotel via social media platforms, including Facebook by posting photos of the hotel rooms and views from the hotel.

Tourism has been hit very badly from the end of 2019 following the Covid-19 outbreak.
