Bersatu sacks Dr M and four others


PETALING JAYA: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and four other Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia Members of Parliament have lost their party memberships following their move to join the Opposition bench during the Dewan Rakyat meeting on May 18.

Bersatu executive secretary Kapt (R) Muhammad Shuhaimi Yahya issued the letters to Dr Mahathir, Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, Dr Maszlee Malik and Datuk Amiruddin Hamzah yesterday stating that their memberships have been terminated with immediate effect for not being seated with Perikatan Nasional during one-day meeting.
