Police: Gerak Malaysia app downloaded over 1.3 million times so far


PETALING JAYA: The Gerak Malaysia app has been downloaded about 1,364,000 times as of May 4.

Federal CID director Comm Datuk Huzir Mohamed said to date, 605,723 users have applied to make interstate travel.

He advised all users to state the start and destination addresses when applying through the app.

He said users should do this as soon as possible so police can plan appropriately to ensure travel from May 7 and 10 is smooth.

Comm Huzir also said that you applications can also be made manually.

"Applicants will need to download the form from our Facebook page or fill it up at the police station. You will need to schedule an appointment first," he said in a statement Tuesday (May 5).

A press conference is expected to be held Wednesday on the matter.
