Samling and Parkcity donate 500,000 masks

Much-needed supply: Police frontliners will be getting 500,000 masks, thanks to Samling and ParkCity.

KUALA LUMPUR: Samling Group of Companies and ParkCity Group have donated 500,000 masks to the Home Ministry in support of the government’s efforts to combat the Covid-19 outbreak.

Samling Group CEO Lawrence Chia and ParkCity Group CEO Datuk Joseph Lau lauded the government’s announcement of stricter regulations and extension of the movement control order until April 28 to further prevent the disease from spreading, which is in line with the World Health Organization’s directive.

“ParkCity feels it’s imperative we do our part and dedicate whatever resources we have to assist the Home Ministry in distributing masks to the frontliners such as the police. Our group is very grateful to the police for their dedication and sacrifice in helping our country during this trying time, ” Lau said.

Chia added: “Samling is always looking for ways to relieve shortages of much-needed medical supplies in our hospitals and polyclinics, especially in the rural areas of Sabah and Sarawak.”
