More locations placed under enhanced MCO, including areas near KL Wholesale Market

PUTRAJAYA: The government is enforcing a sixth enhanced movement control (MCO) order, this time at Pusat Bandar Utara, Kuala Lumpur and the area around the Kuala Lumpur Wholesale Market, says Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob (pic).

The enhanced MCO will take effect from today, April 20, to May 3.

“We are enforcing the enhanced MCO to curb Covid-19 infections and to allow authorities to carry out activities to detect and identify those who are ill.

“Those affected are advised to remain calm and cooperate with heath officers and abide by orders issued by the authorities, ” he said in his daily briefing here Monday (April 20).

Ismail said the order would not affect the supply of fresh produce as the wholesale market will not be closed.

“The wholesale market will open as usual. We are enforcing the order on the housing area (nearby), ” he said.

The lockdown involves eight parcels:

Parcel A: Jalan 6/3A, Pusat Bandar Utara, Kuala Lumpur;

Parcel B: Jalan 6/3A and 9/3A, Pusat Bandar Utara, Kuala Lumpur;

Parcel C: Jalan 2/3A, Pusat Bandar Utara, Kuala Lumpur;

Parcel D: Jalan 2/3A, Pusat Bandar Utara, Kuala Lumpur;

Parcel E1; Taman Sri Murni Fasa 2, Jalan 1/2D, Kuala Lumpur;

Parcel E2: Taman Sri Murni Fasa 1, Jalan 1/2D, Kuala Lumpur;

Parcel E3: Taman Sri Murni Fasa 3, Jalan 1/2B, Kuala Lumpur;

Parcel F: Taman Batu View and Taman Batu Hampar, Kuala Lumpur.
