PETALING JAYA: The price of diesel will drop by three sen while petrol prices will remain the same between April 18 and April 24, says the Finance Ministry.
Diesel will be priced at RM1.43 per litre, down from RM1.46 previously.
The price of RON97 petrol remains at RM1.55 per litre, while RON95 at RM1.25 per litre.
“The government will continue to monitor the impact of global crude oil price changes and take appropriate measures to ensure the welfare and well-being of the people," the ministry said in a statement on Friday (April 17).
The weekly fuel pricing mechanism was reintroduced on Jan 5,2019, under the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM).
Under this system, fuel prices are announced every Friday and remain in force for one week.
