PETALING JAYA: Another Covid-19 death has been recorded, bringing the death toll to 35 in the country.
The victim, a 57-year-old Malaysian woman, passed away at Hospital Sungai Buloh on Sunday (March 29) at 4pm.
According to Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, the victim (Case 1,952), had a history of travel to Indonesia.
"She experienced symptoms five days before being admitted to Hospital Putrajaya on March 17 and was later admitted to Hospital Kuala Lumpur and then Hospital Sungai Buloh.
"The Covid-19 test results came back positive on March 18," he said on his Facebook page.
Dr Noor Hisham noted that her health deteriorated day by day before she finally succumbed to the disease.
"The Health Ministry sends its condolences to the family," he added.
Earlier on Sunday, Dr Noor Hisham also told a press conference that there were 150 new Covid-19 cases in the country, bringing it to a total 2,470 cases as of noon.
In a Facebook post, Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba said that the deceased was an assistant administrator in the Health Ministry's human resource department.
"Her demise is a loss to the ministry," he added.
