PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (pic) will be outlining the government's measures to address the Covid-19 outbreak at a special address on Monday (March 16) night.

He said that he is aware that people are concerned over the outbreak, especially now with a spike in the number of cases.

"I will be on air tonight to explain to Malaysians how we are going to manage this," he told a press conference after chairing the first Economic Action Council meeting here.

When asked if the government would impose a lockdown, Muhyiddin said,"Just wait for the announcement. Please be patient."

The Prime Minister would be chairing a special meeting at 8pm on Covid-19 that will be attended by ministers and agencies involved.

He is expected to address the nation via RTM after the meeting.
