MELAKA: Police have located a 65-year-old man under investigation for suspected Covid-19, after he slipped from health observation at Jasin Hospital.
Jasin OCPD Deputy Superintendent Mispani Hamdan said the senior citizen went missing from the hospital at about 5pm on Sunday (March 15).
"We found the man around two hours later at mosque in Jasin," he said on Monday (March 16).
DSP Mispani said police launched a manhunt after Jasin Hospital alerted them on the missing suspected Covid-19 patient.
He said the man was among those who had participated in the tabligh rally at Sri Petaling Mosque from Feb 28 to March 1.
DSP Mispani added Jasin Hospital had screened dozens of others from the district who attended the event.
