Viral fear: All motions at Bar Council AGM withdrawn with only 87 attendees

KUALA LUMPUR: All 12 motions proposed for the Malaysian Bar Council's 74th Annual General Meeting were withdrawn as only 87 members out of almost 20,000 turned up for the meeting following Covid-19 concerns.

Newly-elected president Salim Bashir said they did not have a quorum to start the meeting at 10am and had to stand down according to the Legal Profession Act.
