PETALING JAYA: Talk is rife that Latheefa Koya is stepping down from her post as Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission chief, but she has remained silent on the issue.

This comes after a report, quoting sources, that she had tendered her resignation.

The report also said that MACC deputy chief commissioner (operations) Datuk Seri Azam Baki will take over her position, effective Monday.

Bernama reported she declined to comment on the issue when asked by reporters on Thursday (March 5) after testifying in the SRC International Sdn Bhd case involving former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak here Thursday (March 5).

Attempts to contact both Latheefa and Azam for comments have been unsuccessful.
