SHAH ALAM: Police will release the 47-year-old ex-husband of a woman murdered in a parking lot in Puchong.
Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Noor Azam Jamaludin said investigations so far have ruled out the husband's involvement in the murder.
"We are now investigating all angles to see who had motive to murder her," he told reporters at the Selangor police headquarters on Monday (March 2).
Meanwhile, Serdang OCPD Asst Comm Ismadi Borhan said the investigation papers were referred to the deputy public prosecutor's office.
"We have been directed to release the man on police bail," he said.
The body of the woman, in her 50s, was found in a pool of blood in a parking lot in Pusat Bandar Puchong Jaya at about 10.20pm on Feb19.
Her ex-husband was arrested in Genting Highlands shortly after.
The woman was a Chinese national with permanent resident status.
A post-mortem on the body showed the cause of death to be multiple wounds from a sharp object.
