Johor to organise townhall session with tourism players after millions lost from Covid-19


JOHOR BARU: The Covid-19 outbreak has greatly disrupted Johor’s tourism sector, causing financial losses of up to millions of ringgit, says a state exco member.

State Tourism, Women Development, Family and Community Committee chairman Liow Cai Tung (pic) said based on calculations by the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH), Johor recorded over 15,808 room cancellations with a total loss of RM5.4mil as at Feb 17.
