JOHOR BARU: Johor Health Department has denied a viral video which is circulating on social media that the novel coronavirus is at Desa Tebrau here.
In the 12-second video, it showed a man wearing a blue shirt with short pants being brought into an ambulance where the medical personnel were seen wearing protective clothing.
“The state Health Department has lodged a police report against the viral video. The public should not spread the viral video which is false, as it will cause panic among the community here,” the department said in a statement posted on the department’s Facebook page yesterday.
The department reminded that any spreading of fake news is an offence under Section 233 of the Communication and Multimedia Act 1998.
