Abdul Wahid heads awards list

SEREMBAN: Former minister Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar and Malaysia’s first astrophysicist Emeritus Prof Datuk Dr Mazlan Othman head the list of 444 recipients of titles and awards in conjunction with the 72nd birthday of Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir.

Abdul Wahid, now Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia board of directors chairman, and Mazlan, who is director of the International Science Council (ISC) Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, will be awarded the Darjah Seri Setia Negeri Sembilan Yang Amat Cemerlang (SSNS), which carries the title Datuk Seri.
