Some schools still without textbooks

TAMIL schools in several states have not received textbooks and workbooks, Makkal Osai reported.

Schools in Pahang, Negri Sembilan, Kedah, Penang, Melaka and Johor are reportedly affected.

Parents in the affected schools are shocked that the books, usually delivered in November and December, were not available.

Three main publishers are given approval for supplying the books used in Tamil schools.

Teachers and principals are also anxious for a resolution to the issue so as not to hamper lessons.

The parents who spoke to the daily urged the education authorities to address the issue swiftly.
