Suspected killer to be charged on Thursday (Dec 12)

AMPANG JAYA: The suspected killer of a beauty centre worker will be charged on Thursday (Dec 12).

"The suspect is an acquaintance of the victim and will be charged on Thursday at the Ampang Jaya court under Section 302 of the Penal Code with murder," said Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Noor Azmi Yusoff in a statement on Wednesday (Dec 11).

The victim, a 45-year-old foreigner, was found dead by her son on November 27.

Her son had returned home at around 5pm and noticed that the door to the flat was unlocked.

The statement said that the victim was found strangled to death with a piece of cloth inside her flat unit in Bandar Baru Ampang.

"Our investigations showed that jewellery was missing, including two gold rings and bracelets. All missing goods were then recovered during a raid at a pawn shop in the Ampang area," he said.
