Food lovers' joy - Rasa Taiwan 3.0 returns to Kuala Lumpur from Aug 28

What if you could experience Taiwan without leaving Kuala Lumpur - Come over to eslite spectrum Kuala Lumpur and enjoy the best foods from the East Asian country.

From 28–31 August 2026 over the Merdeka weekend, Taiwan Taste Lab returns to eslite spectrum Kuala Lumpur, inviting visitors to explore the flavours, creativity and everyday lifestyle of Taiwan. This third edition of Rasa Taiwan brings together eight celebrated Taiwanese brands, with immersive cultural experiences and exclusive culinary collaborations to excite the senses of all visitors.

Organised by Taiwan's Administration of Commerce, Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), executed by the China Productivity Centre (CPC) and co-organised by eslite spectrum Kuala Lumpur, Taiwan Taste Lab extends beyond a traditional product showcase.

This year, visitors can experience Taiwan through an interactive Taiwan Brand Discovery, indulge in exclusive Taiwan–Malaysia afternoon tea experiences, discover specially curated chef collaborations at eslite Dining Table, and immerse themselves in creative conversations between Taiwanese and Malaysian designers — all within one event.

A Different Experience Every Day: Rather than a conventional marketplace, Taiwan Taste Lab offers four themed experiences across four days.

Friday, 28 August: Meet the people behind some of Taiwan's most exciting lifestyle brands as founders and representatives share how local ingredients, craftsmanship and culture inspire and shape products loved both at home and abroad.

Saturday, 29 August (2pm): Taiwan Meets Malaysia Over Afternoon Tea. Featuring brands including jammm, Chosen Tea, Chyuan Fa Honey, Milk17, Pineapple Hill and UNCLE BEING Grilled Corn, the experience explores how Taiwanese ingredients can inspire new afternoon tea flavours through local pairings and creative collaborations.

Sunday, 30 August: Eight Taiwanese Brands. One Exclusive Menu. eslite Dining Table presents a one-of-a-kind chef collaboration created by a Malaysian private chef, Jade Ng from Chin Thye Hin Private Kitchen, using products from all 8 participating Taiwanese brands. From beverages and appetisers to mains and desserts, the specially curated menu reimagines Taiwanese ingredients through Malaysian culinary creativity, offering diners a unique cross-cultural gastronomy experience.

Monday, 31 August: Can Culture Become a Gift? Coinciding with Malaysia's National Day, Taiwanese lifestyle brand LAI HAO joins Malaysian creative brands LOKA MADE for an insightful conversation on how local memories, heritage and everyday culture can be transformed into meaningful designs. Through real design examples from both Taiwan and Malaysia, the session explores how souvenirs can become something far more valuable — a way of preserving the stories of a city.

Eight Brands, Eight Ways to Experience Taiwan: This year's line-up spans food, beverages, lifestyle design and natural wellness, showcasing the diversity of modern Taiwanese brands.

Featured brands include: Pineapple Hill – Taiwan's iconic pineapple cake brand known for turning local pineapples into premium gifts through sustainable farming and thoughtful design.

Instead of simply browsing booths, visitors are invited to pick up a Taiwan Brand Guide and explore eight curated Taiwanese brands through tasting, storytelling and conversation.

After visiting all eight brands, personalise a limited-edition tote bag using exclusive Taiwan-inspired heat-transfer stickers and create a keepsake to take home.

Now in its third edition, Taiwan Taste Lab continues to evolve beyond a brand showcase into an immersive cultural experience.

By combining interactive activities, cross-cultural collaborations, food experiences and storytelling, the event offers Malaysian audiences a fresh perspective on contemporary Taiwan — one that goes beyond tourism and into everyday life.

Guests will have the opportunity to: Meet representatives from all eight participating Taiwanese brands; Experience the Taiwan Brand Discovery before the public; Sample award-winning Taiwanese food and beverages; Enjoy savouring unforgettable flavours at eslite Dining Table
