KOTA KINABALU: A 26-year-old man was found dead in his apartment not long after going live on Instagram, talking about how depressed he was on Sunday (Dec 1).

The bachelor was said to have gone live for about a minute on his Instagram account around 2am, saying things like he is feeling stressed, among others.

His nephew, named Irwan, told police he could not make out the other things the victim said apart from that.

The victim’s aunt, who was later informed about the matter, had found the victim unconscious on the floor of his house at Angkasa Apartment near here around 12.20pm.

Kota Kinabalu deputy OCPD Supt George Rakman said medical officials pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Upon inspection on the man, investigators found injuries, including cuts on the victim’s right wrist and bruises on his back.

“There are, however, no weapons that could have been used to cause these injuries at the scene, ” he said when contacted on Monday (Dec 2).

Supt George said they believe the victim had taken his own life.

“The case is being classified under the Sudden Death Report for now, ” he said.
