THE flying car project had received RM20mil in funding from the government despite it being touted as a private initiative project, says the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
In a report on the air mobility vehicle, the PAC said although Entrepreneur Development Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof had said the project was a privately driven initiative, RM20mil was approved by the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (Might) to be invested in Aerodyne Ventures Sdn Bhd (AVSB).AVSB is the company developing the project and received the funding early this month.
