Petronas launches sixth festive webfilm of the year

With the significant and symbolic event known as the festival of lights or Deepavali just around the corner, Malaysian oil and gas conglomerate Petronas – known for its stable of evocative and heartfelt TV commercials and special occasion webfilms – adds to the nationwide celebration with its latest offering, Thanggam.

Launched at the central and bustling concourse area of Suria KLCC in the capital to an audience of beautifully-dressed guests decked in traditional Indian attire as well as media representatives, Thanggam (the title loosely translated as ‘my precious’) the webfilm encapsulates a story featuring the main character Kumar, played by Louvinesh A/L Prakash as young Kumar and by Tanesh A/L Vijayagomaran as the older Kumar, and his life-transforming journey within a decade, a journey that shapes him into the person he is today.
