The Pekan MP, who left at about 12.40pm, said he was not required to return for further questioning.
Bukit Aman CID D5 (Prosecution and Legal division) principal assistant director Senior Asst Comm Mior Faridalatrash Wahid confirmed that the special investigation unit had recorded Najib’s statement. In a posting earlier, Najib claimed that Pakatan Harapan might be trying to close or block his Facebook page.
“The Selangor palace has lodged a report on Nga on the basis of sedition over a posting on the Selangor Sultan. Nga then lodged a police report saying I had defamed him, ” he added.
Prior to this, Nga, who is Teluk Intan MP and Perak DAP chairman, had urged police to investigate Najib’s Facebook page.
