PUTRAJAYA: The former chief executive officer of the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM), Datuk Zahrah Abd Wahab Fenner, will be brought to court today to face a number of corruption charges.
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) said Zahrah was scheduled to be charged at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court along with her son Abdulazeez Wan Ruslan.
“They were both called to the MACC headquarters here at around 2pm to complete the process of investigation and charges,” said the MACC in a statement issued yesterday.
The anti-corruption body did not provide any details of the cases involving the mother and son, however.
In recent months, MACC conducted several raids at the SSM headquarters at KL Sentral as part of its investigations into alleged power abuse and corruption.
