Patients evacuated after fire scare at Lawas Hospital


Patients at the Lawas Hospital in Sarawak were evacuated after thick smoke began to fill the building on Sept 26, 2109. Bomba said was no blaze and the smoke is believed to have been due to faulty wiring for its air conditioning.

MIRI: An emergency evacuation of patients took place at the Lawas Hospital at around 6.30pm Thursday (Sept 26), after thick smoke began to fill the building.

A check with the Lawas Fire and Rescue Department showed that the air-conditioning at one of the hospital treatment room had short-circuited.
