151 schools in S'gor shut as haze continues to worsen


PETALING JAYA: The worsening haze situation has forced a total of 151 schools across five districts in Selangor to shut down.

In a statement issued at 2pm on Tuesday (Sept 17), the Education Ministry said it had received a report that the closure would affect 240,447 students from 151 schools.

The schools affected are in the districts of Sepang, Hulu Langat, Kuala Langat, Klang and Petaling Perdana.

Readings of between 0 and 50 are categorised as good, 51 to 100 (moderate), 101 to 200 (unhealthy), 201 to 300 (very unhealthy) and above 300 (hazardous).
