PETALING JAYA: The emerging gig economy is proving to be a viable option in helping the elderly yet capable workers make ends meet, said Malaysia E-Hailing Drivers Association (MeHDA) president, Daryl Chong.

As this work culture is about engaging in freelance and short-term jobs, he said the flexible arrangements has encouraged more senior citizens to come out and remain active in the workforce.
