PERMATANG PAUH: PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says that Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad needs to clarify the appointment of Latheefa Koya as the new Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner.Anwar said the decision to appoint Latheefa was made by the Prime Minister and that he only learnt about it from the announcement.
According to Anwar, matters that needed clarification included why the Cabinet was not informed, and that the appointment was allegedly not in line with the MACC Act and also violated the Pakatan Harapan election manifesto.
