Large factory in Klang razed (updated)


KLANG: A factory in Pulau Indah was razed to the ground on Friday (April 12) night.

Fire and Rescue Department personnel responded to the fire at a silicone factory on the island at 9.16pm.

It is learnt that at least three fire stations sent teams to combat the blaze.

It is believed that the fire consumed the factory with a three-acre floor space.

No victims have been reported injured for now.

A spokesperson from the department confirmed the incident.

The fire at the factory was extinguished by 11.30pm and follow-up action is ongoing to extinguish fires in nearby drains.
