Teenager raped, sodomised by older brother for two years

TAPAH: For two years, a teenage girl was raped and sodomised by her 26-year-old brother at their rented home in Kampung Rahmat here.

No longer able to stand it, the girl ran to their relative's home in Slim River and then lodged a police report.

Tapah OCPD Supt Wan Azharuddin Wan Ismail said the report was lodged by the 17-year-old at about 12.45pm on Thursday (March 21).

Supt Wan Azharuddin said the brother, who was a lorry attendant, had been controlling her life and even stopped her from schooling for no reason.

"The brother, who was the eldest among four siblings, has been raping the victim at their home since 2017. He also began molesting her since 2014.

"The incident would take place when the girl's two other elder brothers were not at home," he said, adding the siblings are orphans.

"The girl didn't tell anyone earlier because the brother had threatened to not give her any food or allowances," he added.

Supt Wan Azharuddin said the girl was brought to the Slim River Hospital for checks before being sent to the Teluk Intan Hospital for further checks.

"We have arrested the brother.

"A remand order is being obtained at the Tapah Magistrate Court," he said.
